Real people. Authentic portraits. A more personal way to tell a brand's story.
Basware, a leading provider of cloud-based purchase-to-pay and e-invoicing solutions, partnered with Hidden Studio to create a collection of environmental portraits featuring its own employees.
Moving away from traditional stock photography, the goal was to put real people at the heart of the brand — creating a more authentic, approachable visual identity that resonated with both customers and employees.
We transformed three locations within Basware's Chatswood office into portrait setups, photographing more than 100 employees in a natural, engaging style.
With no actors or staged scenarios, we worked directly with employees to create relaxed portraits that reflected their personalities while remaining consistent with the brand's visual direction. Supported by makeup artist Lida Harsent, we made the experience comfortable and enjoyable for everyone involved.
Originally commissioned for 20 edited portraits, the final images exceeded expectations, with Basware selecting more than double the original number.
The result was a versatile library of authentic employee photography, giving Basware a more personal and recognisable way to represent the people behind its business.
