Held at Kurnell, NSW, Big Air Sydney 2023 brought together kiteboarders for a high-energy competition where everything depended on the wind. With the event running when conditions were right, riders took to the water to push their limits, land impressive tricks and make the most of every opportunity.
My focus was on getting close to the action and capturing the raw energy of the sport. From explosive take-offs and high-flying jumps to moments of concentration and reactions on the beach, the photography highlights the skill, commitment and split-second timing that make action sports so compelling.
The resulting collection reflects the intensity of Big Air Sydney and the spirit of a sport where the right conditions, fearless riding and perfect timing come together.
